Core Areas of Activity

At the outset of the SSSVIP programme, a primary survey was conducted in 113 villages of the East Godavari District agency area and an extensive list of problems afflicting different aspects of the tribal populations’ lives was prepared. This problem complex formed the basis for formulating the core areas of activity and proposed objectives under each core area. The areas of activity were formulated with an aim of bringing about holistic transformation of individual lives and community living, by attacking the root cause of the persistent problems. The eight core areas of activity are:
